I've ordered USB C multiport from apple.com/ph last November 15 and on November 16, it was shipped. 10 days later, Package arrived in Manila, November 26 at 7:34am. Tomorrow the package will be the sixth days it's in Manila. I've contacted DHL Express (2 reps from Manila responded via email and 1 from DHL UK via Twitter) , I've also contacted here DHL Zamboanga and lastly Apple Hotline. One common denominator? All of them don't know where the package is now and promised to inform me as soon they where it is. More than 48 hrs na and still no word from them. Did you have the same experience too?
Mm..not with Apple but with DHL. Tumagal sa Customs. To be fair, same with Fedex. Common denominator: over USD500 declared value. That falls under Formal Entry but Fedex will ask you to submit a letter request to have it processed as an informal entry and pay the corresponding duties and taxes. In you case, dapat walang sabit sa Customs kasi mababa ang value. So, the problem is most likely sa DHL's end.
My Apple watch arrived this Tuesday and I ordered it the same week as you did. It arrived in the PH on Nov 25. So it may be between DHL and Customs.
Mm...what i know is fedex and dhl use third party couriers to complete the delivery in areas where dhl or fedex have no local office or presence. Baka affiliated sila sa dhl. Pagdating sa pinas, dhl and fedex receive the package and process it with customs. Once it is cleared, it is forwarded to the nearest dhl or fedex hub for local delivery or forwarded to their affiliates for delivery to the final destination.
I know for a fact, DHL has a branch and office here in Zamboanga city, I've been there and just called them up 3 days ago. No wonder the DHL branch here is clueless. Package was transferred to their affiliate.
