Been using Pokefi for the past three months. This was used in HK, Bangkok, China and the US. Very satisfied with it and easy to monitor due to web based app and just top up when needed.

thinking about it, pokefi is really cheaper than skyroam. Renting from Pal Weroam will be cheaper on a daily basis compared to skyroam also

Pokefi is currently out of stock in the whole HK airport. Stocks might be replenished mid-May.

Anyone who has ordered pokefi through olx? I saw some OLX ads for pokefi. Price is comparable to HK prices. Not sure if the item is authentic / working.

No stock in one of the OLX seller. The more expensive seller have them on stock as per my text inquiry recently. Still checking out the other seller or might order it thru EVA air duty free website in time for our flight to Taipei.

In case anyone is interested, I was able to order an extra battery + battery charging dock from Pokefi via their Facebook account through Messenger. It was 300 HKD with free delivery to HK (I had a friend transfer to their bank account, she received the package for me, too). I believe they take PayPal and will ship internationally for an added fee.

Hi, can you share the link to the extra battery + charging dock? I can't seem to find it on Facebook. Thank you!

You just have to send them a message. They don't advertise it. :)

Where do you get your Pokefi? Thru their own site or thru OLX? Search thru olx and found there are 3 seller of Pokefi in OLX.

Other recommended company/pocket wifi aside from Pokefi? To be use just in Taiwan, Japan and China.

Just recently bought a Skyroam Solis. And it was very useful, even in Japan, where WiFi is already available everywhere.

Don't know how I ever survived without it.

After the initial sticker-price shock (120USD), per day it's just 9USD. Not bad.

I was able to get a unit at the Cathay Pacific in-flight shop. Only one unit available. It was also advertised in the PAL boutique in-flight store but no stocks were available.

We got our Pokefi unit from an OLX seller. Was able to use it for our 4 days Taipei vacation last May. My son was also able to use it around Makati area with fairly good signal. Will try to top it up this week for an upcoming trip to China. Hope we can get good signal there.

Also purchased a unit from an OLX seller a few days ago after months of hunting. OLX price was cheaper compared to the Pokefi website price, but still a few thousands more expensive than if you purchased from HKIA.

Relatives are using the pokefi unit now in Europe.

    D. Chua, with the title 'Pokefi Pocket Wifi' and PhP8,250.00 pricetag.

According to the seller, new stocks of the unit just arrived when I inquired.

I still find Globe's Easy Roam, relatively affordable and convenient. It's 5 days of unlimited data roaming for around Php1800.

Does any of these providers offer sim-only purchase? I have an openline LTE pocket wifi already and it will become redundant if I get another unit. I'm tired of getting local sim cards just to get data when I travel abroad.
