Apple - Mac Pro
The new Mac Pro. Another amazing innovation. But is it doomed to follow the way of the cube?

First time I saw it, I thought "oh no, here we go again..."
I am disappointed that there is no prominent Apple logo
This signals the end of the "tower" design. Let's wait shortly for Thermaltake and Lian Li to copy the design into their new offerings. The central cooling core makes so much sense. The top plate where the hot air escapes will be great to keep my coffee warm!
It is indeed an engineering marvel, 1/8th the size of the original one.
But why deviate from the aluminum look?
I'm not so sure if this was designed by Apple or JBL (which may not be a bad thing afterall)
This is alien technology! I know people in the creative industry will rave about this. Alienware will drool over this!
Hihihi.... time to syndicate our creative fees up a notch so we can save for this black momma by December!
the audio freak in me is telling me that the new mac pro was inspired by tube amps:

I love it... The design of the cooling system is so sexy. I actually think it's sexier without the case! But I shudder about how much this will cost considering it'll use PCIe SSDs and dual GPUs. *looks at old MP*
do you feel giddy about the new macpro? design is great, but is this enough to compel us to purchase this?
This is possibly going to be available locally by January next year i guess. Just like the fall announcement of the thin iMac which, came in late at March from the estimated January release.
I believe the market for the new MacPro are the current users of the extant MacPro. MBP, MBA and iMac users are too set in their needs and lifestyle to be converted to the 'Pro.
It is reported to be 9.9" tall. Can anyone extrapolate the width? I expect it to weigh in at about 8-10kg,
I have a spare 27" IPS Dell U2711 LCD that was replaced free by Dell last month that I was about to sell but I may keep it for this. I could sell it if pushed.
Guests might throw their garbage on this new Mac Pro hehe
Apple has a curious way about numbers: MacPro is 9.9 high and 6.6 wide; iPad is 9.7, the mini, 7.9. Plus, the Apple logo follows the Fibonacci sequence. Toldja, Steve Jobs was an Illuminati!
so, how do you propose we word and plug it in our charges?
Thinking outside of the box... literally.
Being a first gen product design, I would await feedback from hardcore pro users if there would indeed be no heat problem. Dusty & tropical heat places without airconditioning might not be kind to this new design.
Also, there would probably be a new market for "external gadget organizers". Just imagine 6 LED monitors, 6 external HDDs, 2 optical drives, 2 video cams, & 2 memory card readers connected - its an octopus?
