Couldn't help myself and went to an Apple Store, compared the display to the iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro side by side and the "non-laminated" display ain't that bad. Will try to hold buying it until (hopefully) Apple refreshes the iPad mini later this year.

Any suggestions for a rotating case? One where it can be propped up portrait and landscape.

Also, will the iPad Air 2 cases fit the new iPad? Same size lang kasi except the thickness.

I'm just wondering if Smart is going to offer the iPad 2017 model in their postpaid broadband plans at all.

I’m hoping that Smart will include the 2017 Ipad on their postpaid line up (or the Ipad 10.5).

It's a pretty good plan. I hope they offer something similar with the 2018 iPad Pro. I don't expect iOS 12 support for the 2013 iPad Air.

Is it safe to purchase an iPad right now or should I wait for an update? I'm really tempted since iOS 11 made the iPad interesting again and I'm torn between the iPad (2017) 32GB and the iPad mini 4 32GB (which I saw at a local online store), both WiFi versions by the way. They're about the same price, P18,000+ each..any thoughts which is better? Thanks!

If all you need is a small media consumption device for home use, get the mini. I just sold my mini 2 because ..... if you intend to do any work or heavy reading on it, get the iPad. The 128gb is not that more expensive. Since I got one in July, I haven't brought my MBP to class.

Same question here, would iPad Air1/2 and iPad Pro 9.7 cases fit the dimensions on the new iPad 2017 model? Although, i think the iPad Air 2 chasis is a little thinner compared to the new iPad which uses the iPad Air 1 chasis. Thinking of buying those previous keyboard cases initially intended for iPad Air 2.

Its hit and miss. You'll have to fit them to know for sure. I have a Thule Atmos X3 for iPad Air 2 on my iPad 2017, and it fits perfectly. I got it 50% off (because its an old model) at the Thule store in SM The Block. Heavy, but very rugged.

smart offer looks good especially if you don't have a primary mobile internet plan yet; the monthly will subsidize the unit to some extent. if you just need the unit though (ipad or whatever apple), credit card promos available (24months) at beyond the box, power mac, etc

I ordered the "Logitech Folio Protective Case for iPad Air" (black)

It sells fo 495 at Lazada :) I got the last stock but if the case fits my mom's iPad 2017 and the quality is good, I'll get another one as a spare. Will give an update in th coming week.

It's being sold in Amazon as well https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GT9SJ3Q/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza but I don't have a cost-effective way of shipping it to PH

I also saw the Spec Balanced Folio Case for iPad 2017/Air/Air. It's very light, beautiful and looks premium but on the expensive side (PHP 1890). Actually if it lasts for a few years, that price is good value. But of course, I'm on the hunt for even better value. ^_^ (My iPad 2 case lasted for 6.5 years!)

Update: fits perfectly on the iPad 2017. The camera hole is big, so no problem for the camera which is slightly shifted to the left compared to the original iPad Air.
