I've got a mid 2010 MacPro with a ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics card. Although it has 2 mini-display ports & a DVI port, I'm beginning to wonder if monitors with these type of connectors will soon be extinct. Apple is pushing their Thunderbolt display so that renders the mini-display ports obsolete.

I saw in OWC's website this Sapphire graphics card. It's pricey (USD 559) but it has 2 mini-display ports & 1 DVI & HDMI port each. The HDMI port is what's getting my attention as more monitors (& high-end TVs) have this type of connector.

Has anyone installed this type of graphics card for their pre-2015 MacPro? Would be very much interested on their experience with this card.
