^ Exactly! She looked gaunt, sickly in most scenes. I hope the young lady doesn't have an eating disorder.

Many fans were rooting for bestfriend Barb, who in my opinion was prettier (kulang lang sa makeover). But then, you know what happened. :p

Barb has potential (fix the hair, remove the glasses and highlight her curves) :D
Yeah, I was one of those hoping for a better ending (for her)...

and just to add further proof about the Duffer Brothers' penchant for suspense and mastery of the silent thriller genre, here's a look at this short film they made in film school ten years ago:

    Another proof of awesome casting:

I won't backread, in case there are spoilers.

I am only halfway done, but I am loving it a little more because, from 1982 to 1986, I went to school in a small Pennsylvania town, only 500 miles away from Indiana, where Stranger Things happened.

So yeah, everything looked so palpably real to me—the people, the cars, the houses, everything. I went to (frat) parties off-campus, hoping to go back to the dorm with a Nancy, but ended up shagging a Barb. ;)

^I'd settle for a Barb just for my right kind of teenage passion then, but a Joyce would be a monumental taboo subject, but hell, I'd even settle for that even if she's so high-strung as she is...

If I were younger, El would've been quite a great puppy love...

^Let's not go into favorite MILFs. That can be as unending as the MM traffic thread. :)

Stranger Things did not make me crave for my 80s playlist. It did, however, renew my interest in sensory deprivation, which cost $40 a "float" session in an isolation tank when I tried it in the 80s. Trippy! As it turns out, there's such a tank in Manila now. p1500 for a 90-minute session! No happy ending, but it's also wet, salty and heavenly! :)

Speaking of MILFy things, let's not forget the other mother in the cast, Cara Buono (Karen), Nancy and Mike's mom.

In the 80s, I would have picked Joan Cusack over Molly Ringwald any time. Remember Addams Family?

I was a *ballerina*, graceful, delicate! I was 10, and do you know what they got me? *Malibu* Barbie!

well this thread escalated rather quickly! :D from Stranger Things to MILFy Things!

plus one on Mia Sara. and Jennifer Connely. Phoebe Cates?

no shame in shagging a Barb! after Dustin, Barb's the coolest character in the series. maybe after a drink or two, though :ROFLMAO:
