New thread for the upcoming season. Predictions? I think it's its gsw/okc/sas again in the finals. Lebron 7th consecutive trip to the finals and yes, 2-6 baby. Haha
The Kevin Durant free agency can shake things up. Also, it remains to be seen if GSW can keep their lineup intact. Harrison Barnes will be a free agent, and with Curry in his last year, I don't think they can afford to pay Barnes big bucks.
Kevin Durant offered cabinet post by Governor of Oklahoma if he stays with OKC Thunders http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...ma-gov-mary-fallin-stay-oklahoma-city-thunder
The owner of GSW (Joe Lacob) was quoted as saying that he will spend to keep their young nucleus intact. Sporting News also predicts that GSW will make a 7-1 Chinese player as their #1 draft pick. This could point to keeping Barnes, Iguadola & Livingston while letting Bogut go. Barnes will really be a question of money. Their #1 draft pick last year (Looney) was meant to be a Plan B in case keeping Barnes was too expensive. Injuries this year kept Looney from getting meaningful playing time. The fact he spent most of this year in the D-League may mean that Looney is not up to the level of Barnes. There's of course the KD free-agency. Doubt if he will leave OKC though. Not after they came so close this year to go to the Finals.
The only way for San Antonio to get back on top again is to let go of their aging players and get some good players in free agency.
i believe KD will take a 2-year deal with an opt out clause and it will probably not with OKC. i think the Wolves and Jazz are both prime to take a leap net season.
DraftExpress' 2016 Mock Draft http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2016/ Should that shape up, expect no smiles from Simmons holding his team's jersey.
I can already imagine GSW's pitch: "Aside from our terrific team, here's the kicker: In the US, San Francisco has the first, oldest and best... Chinatown."
I cant edit my post. Just want to say congrats to Cavs org and to Lebron. One of the greats for sure.
