I've recently been experiencing problems with my MacPro when it goes into Sleep mode. It doesn't "wake up" or turn on again. My Energy Savings settings is that the display goes into sleep mode after 15 minutes & the computer after 3 hours. I'm also using the Apple Bluetooth mouse & my Bluetooth settings are that the computer should wake if a mouse button is pressed.

Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. TIA.

    Edit:
Forgot to mention that the only way I can restart the computer when it is in Sleep mode is to turn off the computer by pressing the power button for several seconds & then turning it on again by pressing the power button.

SMC refers to System Management Controller, part of the system that controls low level function like fan control and battery management.

PRAM refers to Parameter Random Access Memory is where the system stores parameter settings for the computer (startup disk, display resolution, etc)

In some cases resetting these to the system defaults fixes many problems. Details specific to your model are available on the Apple site under support.

read a bunch here the other day

I had success by unplugging a usb cable. I had an external drive connected, and just unplugged it, suddenly MAC PRO came alive. It happened again later, I unplugged another device. worked again. so then I rebooted. hasn't happened since.
