Just bought an iPod Nano 6th Gen 16GB a few days ago.
my only concern is the battery drain. After a full charge, my battery level is nearly 1/4.

I'm saving up for the LunaTik Lynk Blackout.

I havent used my iPod Nano 6th Gen in a few months.

The last time I tried to use it, I was prompted to restore it.
The firmware is up to date. After restoring and charging it, the power goes pfft one I disconnect it. Every time I connect the ipod to my computer, I'm always prompted to restore it and the power always goes kaput once i disconnect it. Did this several times already.

The iPod was sent from abroad, and I do not have the receipt, and I believe it is no longer under warranty.

    What do I do?

    TIA

Try using the device serial number if it is eligible for warranty...

Has anyone experienced problems with the Nano's sleep button? Mine is not working. For some reason, the button sunk in the device. It won't give a tactile response. And my warranty period is over :(.

read some rumor somewhere about apple retaining the form factor, removing the clip system and adding a low res camera to the nano. am not impressed if this turns out to be so.

I like it current form, very portable plus you can make it cooler with a wrist strap. I hope minor redesign on nano or maybe add another line lol

The 6Gen nano is great for music and podcasts using wired headsets. It can be improved by the following:

    - No camera please!. It has no proper function with anything low res.
    - Add bluetooth feature for A2DP streaming and wireless voice recording function.
    - Add Wifi Direct with 2 or 3 mins auto off to allow transfer of 1 or 2 songs quickly.
    - Bigger battery by making it 50% thicker but reduce the clip size and thickness by making it removeable!.
    - A languard clip hole to allow wearing this like a necklace. Useful for some occasions.
    - Clock face on for 10 sec when tapped on even on locked. Check time.
    - "favorite swipe sequence" setting. While music or podcast is playing and screen off. 2 finger tap then swipe.
Would be Perfect with the above features!.

So it's out the new iPod Nano. I'm not happy after 1 year of waiting all I get is this lol, I'm a little dis appointed that it was overhauled to look like a Zune, I was hoping for a the same squared small type iPod Nano.

Now I'm thinking of buying the old gen iPod Nano, still the best choice right?

Now that you mentioned it, it does look like a Zune. Or as someone else said, like a cheap, iPod knock-off.

I like the old one too, but it was kinda too small to be a functional touchscreen. I guess they wanted the new Nano to be less of an accessory and back to being a dedicated music player.

Whoa, love this, a true multimedia device, without having so much apps...light and thin, can easily ditch anywhere.
There is a 3000+ difference in the price with the iPod Touch...ughh.Thinking whether to have an MP3 player or a device close to what an iPhone can do.. So most probably, for those who has an iPhone already, this is definitely a buy.
    ;)
