some weird spec notes on new nano in apple site--> system requirements--> iTunes 10 or later. BUT iTunes 10 is not even yet available. Now, how the hell are you gonna configure those new nanos and load them with songs using a non-existent version of a software? HEHEHE. not all colors available yet. BUT, these "siftables"-looking nanos are cool. this is a new hard app with individual personality. "Shaken, not stirred."
^ Perhaps iTunes 10 will be available next week. All the pre-orders will be coming within a week, anyway. I've checked the Apple PH online store, the iPod Nano 16GB will cost P9,790. Not bad (at least for me). I wonder how much this will be at Apple stores here in the Philippines. Will be waiting until November/December before this purchase.
I really like the small, square design without buttons. It's like a small iPod/iPhone without the home button (sorry I'm really annoyed by the home button). I'll get one soon And I don't really know how the pedometer works, do you still have to buy the nike+ gadget and place it in your shoe? Or can the iPod touch app run independently?
Wow, this is what the shuffle should have been. Everything about it is great! I was just hoping for the base model to be at least 16 Gb and the higher end to hit 32 Gb.
I still prefer the 5th gen nano over this. But thats just me. The thing is way too small for my liking. And as what previous members have said, this should have been the new shuffle. (Why did they revert the new shuffle to the old design?)
Just having a look at this right now. Been focusing on the new Touch since that's what I'll be getting. I saw the demo video of endadget and the new commercial for it and the design seems perfect sense. I agree with salaryman that they should've included a 32gb one although it'll be a pain to navigate through all that music.
i've been lusting over a panerai watch and this just might be the cheapest and most useful alternative out there.... http://www.cultofmac.com/new-ipod-n...m_campaign=Feed:+cultofmac/bFow+(Cult+of+Mac)
I actually thought about using it as a wrist watch before reading the post above, but i thought it was a crazy idea. I take back what I said and will take a second look at the new nano. ahahaha.
Dang! I was just thinking and about to post the idea and here it is already. It would have been perfect if it had Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR wireless technology so you could listen to music wirelessly over a bluetooth headphone and not have the cables dangling from your wrist...again something to look forward to on the next version which should have come with the New NANO already However, I'm still definitely getting one!
Yey! Ordered mine already! The 'White on black display' option will make the new iPod nano more delicious; can't wait. This product made the event one of the best.
I'm getting one too. I thought I'll be retiring my 18-month old shuffle, but I think when I'm in the mood to use my future Nano as wristwatch, my old trusty shuffle will be my music player. But my main consideration is I want a shuffle-like iPod with FM radio capabilities. And this Nano is right on.
i said the same thing last night during the live discussion. wrist strap (which will come for third parties eventually) and bluetooth would've been perfect for me. i was immediately struck by the look. the first use i thought of was a badge, something i could clip onto a shirt pocket; something like a mood ring, but in this case different pictures, icons, or logos would be displayed, depending on where i am or what i want to *project*. but now i wonder if putting a display primarily for controls (navigating the menus) sells itself short, even if you can play slide shows. still, i will probably get one, if only to wear on my sleeve.
