Around 3AM this morning, I dropped my phone in the bathroom. My tempered glass shattered so I had to remove it. I kept thinking after I removed it that if I drop my phone again, my screen will shatter. Now, just 10 minutes ago, I dropped my phone in the parking and now my LCD is broken. LOLOLOL.

I called BTB and they said that right now, they don't do parts replacement for the iPhone 7. Does anyone know how I can get this LCD replaced?

Update: I called BTB again to ask for other options. I searched online kasi and I found out that in the US, getting the LCD replaced will cost $129 for iPhones with no Apple Care. Apparently here in the PH, full unit replacement daw talaga lang ang option. Plain stupid. It's just disappointing that we don't have the option to have it replaced by an APR here. And sana, these things are discussed prior to selling the units para we know what risks we're getting ourselves into. 4 months na phone ko, wala pa ding official way to have it replaced. Oh well, lesson learned. For now, gamitin ko muna ang 44k phone with an amazing shattered screen. Hahaha

Edit: what the hell is going on with BTB?!? No one can seem to answer my questions. Hay. Frustrating.

Anyway, I got the chance to talk to PMC and they confirmed no screen replacement. I have to get the whole unit replaced for Php24k. Amazing. No choice but to get it replaced by a local repair shop then i'll just get rid of this after.

Just ask the local repair shop if their 3rd party parts still have the 3D touch, and of course yung quality ng screen and touch response.

    Poor next owner, haha!

RE: BTB, also had a bad experience with their SC in BGC. My MBP had intermittent issues but they did not take time to investigate, it was returned to me in less than 24 hours, saying everything is normal, etc. lol. Now it's with PMC.

Has anyone else tried using powerbanks or wall chargers with AiPower/VoltIQ features? This one charges my Plus from 20% to 95% in just 1-1.5 hrs. May malaking effect kaya sa wear and tear ng battery?

@cruzargel the good news is, only the glass part of my screen broke. The 3D touch, LCD, digitizer and other screen parts are working. I think @ll_esquivias can replace just the glass part. But I have to check his shop over the weekend.

@Kingmaker lately, not anymore. Mag 2 months na. Feelingero kasi ako na di ako makakalaglag ng iphone eh. Ayan tuloy. Haha. The funny thing is, until now flawless yung body. Talagang face down siya nalaglag sa concrete.

Good for you only the glass broke. And yes, must be an easy and less costly fix. Lesson learned - Don't go naked. :)

@mree 24k? If you avail that full replacement, can you still keep the warranty?

Ang mahal naman sa Pinas. My SO had his replaced for 100+ NZD dollars... plus NZD 229 na AppleCare+. Still less than the 24k quote from PMC

I didn't ask about the warranty anymore cause I already found the fee too high, and immediately looked for ways on how I can send my unit to the US. iPhone is generally more expensive in the Philippines than any other country, so I'm not surprised that our replacement fee is higher din. Ang problema kasi ayaw ni Apple na mag replace si Philippines ng screen eh ang dali lang naman (feeling ko lang naman kasi nanood ako sa YouTube). Even the so-called "waterproofing" is as easy as aligning a screen protector.

I can actually have mine replaced this end of May, pero tinatamad na ako ipadala then mag wait pa ako makauwi ng July. So glass replacement na lang from Burn.

You can have it fix in HK or SG too. They have screen replacements on the Apple Retail Store and Apple Authorized Service Provider. Getting your iPhone fixed in a 3rd party shop will void its warranty if you will have issues in the future. One more thing. have you tried to call AppleCare? Try to ask for a Product Specialist. See if they can help you with your iPhone.

I already called Apple. The only thing they can do for me is to provide me phone numbers of service centers. After talking to each and every single one of them, Philippines is not certified by Apple to replace screens for the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus (yet?). If a customer shattered his phone screen, the only way to have it fixed is to have the entire unit replaced through Apple Singapore. Cost is Php 23-24k, where a 50% downpayment is required. Wait time is 4 weeks. No loaner while waiting for the replacement unit.

I am not visiting HK and SG again soon, so for now, I'll use my phone as is. Sad but it is what it is.

I am still contemplating if I should update to 10.3.1 or not and I am still on 10.1. I've been reading a handful of battery performance issues regarding ios 10.3.1, what are your thoughts?

Battery life certainly is taking a hit every time new versions came in. but the security patches alone warrants me to update every single time.
my 7 plus is about 1-1.5hrs less on average usage.

    3rd touch won't be affected if the glass needs replacement;

Update it to 10.3.2 battery life improved. Was listening to my music library via Bluetooth headset, about 10 songs done and still remains on 100% definitely better than my S8+
