Mm..the next iPhone will be special but I do not intend to upgrade. Will skip that and wait for S version (which is always the refined version) in 2018 or 2019.
It turns out my mum decided to ditch her Rose Gold iPhone SE for the PRODUCT(RED) iPhone 7 and she managed to cop one at a local Apple Store. She abhors any and all black face plates so this works out perfectly for her. Apple knows what's up because in the last three days my timeline has been filled with people clamouring for this fresh coat of paint. Even those already in possession of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus! Maybe later this year we'll see one with a black face plate and then it'll be time to rid myself of the attachment towards black phones.
Ordered one, slated to be delivered on April 17th. Ouch. 3rd world country na 3rd world country ang delivery speed.
Any idea when the red iphone 7 plus will be locally available? Sent an email to btb and they are not certain yet with availability.
Yeah, that's where SEA units are coming from. Was really hoping for a before-holy-week delivery date. Oh well.
You will still get it way ahead of local release. I was quoted a 1-2 months release time. I am now considering ordering online.
Two weeks short of possessing my Jet Black iPhone 7 for five months, I'm curious to see how everybody's glossy favourite is holding up. Here's my daily driver since the 11th of November, 2016. This is a shot of the iPhone on a bad day; no wiping of the fingerprints as it doesn't particularly bother me. I only ever wipe it at the end of the day, but it doesn't take long for it to take in fingerprints again anyway so it's done mostly for hygienic purposes. Still no scratches after looking at the back of my iPhone under direct lighting. I think I saw perhaps one hairline scratch, but I couldn't find it again even after wiping the back clean. Also, those white spots on the back of the phone are dirt. Easily wiped away. Spoiler (Please excuse the bad lighting. I took the photo in a hurry.)
I did use a case for at least around three months (caseless since), but only outside my home where things are out of my control. At home, all of my phones beginning with the 5s have always been in the nude. I am somewhat reconsidering my decisions after having read this one post of a fellow whose boss wanted to see his Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus and after a quick inspection of the phone, he returned the phone by way of sliding it across the table back to him. You can bet the phone suffered a ton of cosmetic faults.
No. The sides of the Tech21 Evo case that I use has a rib-like design on the inner side of the case where it comes in contact with your phone and I guess that sorts of protect the iPhone, I'm not sure. The material (TPU) also doesn't have sharp edges or corners inside which I think makes it very safe even for jet black models. In other news, this guy is really red!
As it turns it, earliest possible release here is a month from now. Bit the bullet and ordered via apple.com/ph. Delievery date is between 4-18 to 4-20.
