The macro attachment uses only one iPhone 7 plus lens and will obscure the other.

Go for it! The feeling is different once you're holding the jet black compared to matte black. :D

Finally snagged one after a 'few' visits to Apple stores around California.

    My iPhone 7+ new partner,

Guys, can you check your camera lenses (back) if may dust sa loob?

My unit have some, pero visible lang siya under direct sunlight or under a flashlight.

Does not appear on pictures though.

Hi guys. How many hours of average use can you squeeze out of your 7 plus?
I just got my 7+ (iOS 10.2) last friday, and everyday since then I could only get 5+ hours from it (mostly web and some facebook --absolutely no music and videos). If I used the camera I think a full charge would only last me 4+ hours. My sister has her 6s+ and it lasts a day on her (lots of social media, taking photos, music, etc).
I just uninstalled facebook now because of unusual high amount of "background activity" despite background app refresh being turned off, still testing whether it helps as I type..

I'm thinking of having it replaced since it's still under the 7-day replacement period. (Will they replace with a brand new, unopened unit, if ever?) Or wait for the 10.3 update and hope for the best.

Another issue is the camera. Anyone else experiencing the "watercolor" effect? The live preview looks better than the actual shot.

Welcome to PhilMug! My 7 Plus lasts me the day with moderate usage. You may want to check for other location services that might be eating up your power too.

^ Location services are turned off. Brightness set to a minimum. Background app refresh disabled too. :(

Then there's something wrong with your battery.
On a normal usage (fb, IG, iMsg, couple of FaceTime calls for 10 mins, web browsing, Youtube, other apps) it usually last me a full day, only having to charge the following morning when I have it fully-charged before I go to work.
I'd say do a backup, wipe then restore it via iTunes then observe.

Does NTC seal still matter nowadays especially in claiming warranty? I just noticed ads emphasizing on it.

For Apple, Models for different regions is the basis for warranty. Say, iPhone with US model is may not be serviceable in the Philippines or vice versa. Check your NTC thru Settings-General-About-Legal-Regulatory. Scroll up and the NTC 'sticker' appears.

Thanks Fervish. However, when you said "may", in what instances do service centers here will or will not be honoring warranty claims for out-of-region iPhones? Is there no absolute basis available or is this basis differs among the service centers here (Powermac, BTB, etc.)? I had a previous iPhone (5s) that was purchased in AU (no NTC seal) and when I claimed for warranty, they (Senco Link) honored it. Please enlighten me more. Thank you.

It is based on model number. For example iPhone 7 Model A1778 and iPhone 7 Plus Model A1784 is accepted for warranty claims in local ASP irregardless of the origin of the iPhone.

NTC Seal in only a proof that the unit is locally released.

Please check the link for model number accepted in local ASP.

Thanks Dumbo! So it is model-based and not just for NTC units. That's a much clearer explanation. Thanks again. :)

to my PhilMug buddies, before buying an iPhone7 7plus make sure that the unit you bought have a local or international warranty. some phones bought here are from HongKong - particular from Hutchison Telecommunication, have no warranty here locally. There are at least 4 cases where my clients had to go to HongKong to have their devices replaced. There are some hearsay that the newest iPhone model can be cloned or copied including the IMEI by some Chinese syndicates.

Some guy posted a video about the iPhone 7 intel modem Bluetooth problem. No fix yet even on the 10.3 beta I'm on.
