Just installed on my iPad air 2 and iPhone 6 Plus. Wish the split view works on more apps.

I'd love to try iOS 9 public beta but my iPad 2 will probably choke on it (not to mention some features won't run on it) and my iPhone 6 Plus is my main phone so I'm kinda cautious.

I'll give it two weeks before I take the plunge. :)

    Just a reminder, folks.

Given that the public beta is now live, the PhilMUG Staff would like to remind users that the public beta is still covered by confidentiality agreements, as indicated in the Beta Software Program FAQ:

    https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/faq

    Full details: https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/legal

I think it's pretty clear there. Unless it's something Apple has already announced, addressed, or confirmed, you can't post and discuss it here.

In other cases, if it's something that's already out there in the mainstream web or mass media, you may post it here, provided you include the corresponding links.

The same applies to those in the AppleSeed Developers program.

Encountered a problem with public beta 1, installed it on my iPad Air 2 and can't seem to find the News app.

    Anybody experienced the same problem?

I read somewhere that the news app only works in the us for now. Maybe changing the region will make it available?

Your region has to be US.

Go to Settings/General/Language & Region and set it to United States. Then reboot, and News should be there.

I really like to update my iP6 to iOS9 but I fear that my photos will get deleted as what has been reported by some upgraders. Having a back-up of my photos right now is not an option.

Your photos will not be deleted. In fact, you'll see some of them already placed in the new 'selfies' and 'screenshot' folders.

I haven't experienced any major bugs so far. But then again, it is still in beta, so be wary.

@Guerde, do you have a BPI app installed? Mine always crashes when I log in. MS Excel also will open but after a few seconds will crash.

I do have a BPI app installed. It was working a few days ago, but for some reason it's not working anymore. I tried force quitting it in the app switcher, and restarting my phone but it doesn't solve the problem.

Is your iPad also on IOS9? Could it be because of the trasnfer to anyone enrollment of the iPhone?

all my ios devices (iPhone 6 Plus, Ipad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPod Touch 5th Gen) are now ios9 Beta. There's a noticeable lag in opening apps. The splits screen just goes 1/4 of the screen. Siri's gone nuts. I always set my clock on all my ios devices 15 minutes advance. When I request Siri to set up an alarm say 15 minutes from now she'll just follow the current local time. The News app is also missing.
