Funny. Apple introduces a new iOS version and instead of it adding new features, you’re forced to relinquish a number of them to make the device perform as well as it was running on older iOS. Brilliant!

There's an article on Redmond Pie (Myth Debunked: Benchmarks Show Apple Isn’t Deliberately Slowing Down Older iPhones With New iOS Releases). However, the test did not take into account the performance (or lack of) in opening and switching between apps, activities that you normally do countless of times on a mobile device.

Just heard through the grapevine that iPhone 6S 10.3.3 iOS is currently back on Apple's sign sheet. Lucky basterds!

I don't mind the new toggle behaviour in iOS 11—and understand why they made it like this for the sake of convenience—but yes, it really does compromise user security when the toggles that supposedly turns off both radio systems doesn't really turn off. Only off-ish. A seemingly tough choice Apple has to make when they actively pledge both security and convenience of the ecosystem.

They should at least add a 3D Touch (a long press for older devices) option to either turn the radios off entirely, or only off-ish. The only issue with this is that a large fraction wouldn't know the options even exist. The iPhone used to be so simple that everything kind of just comes to you naturally.

    Funny thing on iPhone SE...

As you enable Airplane mode, WiFi is still enable (which should be OFF too). iPhone 6s and iPad Mini works fine though.

You can turn on WiFi when you're on Airplane Mode. The next time you switch to Airplane Mode again, your WiFi will be on until you manually turn it off.

    LTE problem

When I open my ipad 12.9 first gen the LTE doesn't want to work. I have to switch it off then on again then LTE works fine. It happened when I updated to ios 11. Up to now that is still the problem even when I'm updated to 11.0.2.

    Cellular data usage

When I upgraded to iOS 11 my cellular data usage is not accurate. Sometimes it goes back to zero or another figure than the previous one. So I got charge extra and I didn't know I was over already. Coz the figure is not accurate.

on my 6S, once you activated Airplane mode, WiFi, Bluetooth and Mobile data will be turned off. For SE, WiFi keeps ON until you toggle OFF it manually.

If you hadn't explicitly turned wifi or BT ON during Airplane mode it will keep them off when you switch to airplane mode. This is the default. Did you try it that way?

I’ve tried this on my SE. Default setting is when you switch to airplane mode - wifi, BT and Cellular are OFF.

I can only guess Apple will soon stop signing iOS 10.3.3 even for the iPhone 6s because 11.0.3 addresses the unresponsive touch issue.

Dang another day, another unresponsive touchscreen...

Been hard-rebooting my iP since the update even when on stand-by mode...

This phone gets more hard-ons than I have at 55...

I get what you mean. Now I know the scenario. I didnt experience this behaviour before iOS11. Wondering why this came out just now.
