In preparation for iOS11 release next week (Sept 19), I have updated my iTunes to 12.7 and noticed Apps are already removed as most of tech news brought up. Does it mean that you can no longer manager your Apps on Mac or PC? Or is there other way around
I read that the file manager app is limited to iCloud only and you still can not fully manage local files like add folders like in finder, is this accurate? Anyone who already knows?
The Files Manager app manages your iCloud folder so any content in it comes from iCloud supporting apps. You can add custom folders like you can do in your Mac's iCloud tab, and on icloud.com. The app also becomes a centralized app to give you quick access to 'file storing' apps like Dropbox.
Bad trip! Nawala yung function na gustong gusto ko sa iOS 10, you can put a contact (just that particular contact) on "do not disturb" mode. Anyone of you knows a work-around? thanx.
Thanx sir, pero it will just hide the alerts but not reject or ignore their calls. I actually advised Apple through Feedback during the beta period that it is best that Apple keep that feature. hay!
Thanks Bacchus_3, but what if I want to manage the file locally in the Ipad like a 'My Computer' or C:\ Drive in Windows?
You can check the iOS 11 features from the Tips app on your iOS 10 iPad while waiting for the iOS 11 release to know more what you can 'manage' using the Files app. An iPad is not a PC so don't expect it to behave like one
just FYI, got this message from apple today (note the dates): Your feedback helped us make these our best releases yet. The iOS 11, tvOS 11, and macOS High Sierra GM candidates are now available for you to install. Please send us any feedback you might have. The final releases for iOS and tvOS will be available on September 19th. And the final release for macOS will be available on September 25th. Go to the Apple Beta Software Program
In case you didn't know (like me recently), you can update to the public release from the beta directly. There are online articles about it and you just have to remove your beta profile to do this.
