Tthere is an option to just delete device copies.
google photos is very nice after the latest update, but is there a way to embed image to website?
so i could delete the photos on my phone without deleting it on google photo? where is this option available? on my device or laptop?
Your device's photos are simply uploaded to Google Photos, they are not synced. So if you delete in your device, it doesn't delete in your Google Photos. If you delete/edit in Google Photos it is not deleted/edited in your device.
Google Photos might see your device has photos it doesn't have and upload it again though. But again, they are not synced.
Faces is not supported in the Philippines? Bummer.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to get OS X Photos to play well with Google Photos. My problems are that I previously had a subset of some pictures on Google Photos what didn't make its way to the Photos app on iPhone, therefore not syncing via Photo Stream. I would also want to have access to my photos even if I use an Android device.
I was able to download all photos on Google Photos and consolidate them to my OS X Photo Library, which then uploaded the consolidated set of pictures to iCloud Photo Library. Syncing and access across my IOS devices and web seems fine, albeit slow.
Second step was to delete all the photos on Google Photos to start fresh. Of course, Auto Backup was turned off on all my devices before I started the process.
This is where I'm stuck as I am not quite sure what the next step is.
I can use the Google Photo Uploader to upload all the photos in my consolidated OS X Photos library to Google, then turn on Auto Backup on my IOS devices. This should, in theory, bring old and new photos to Google. However, if I make edits on the Photos in Google, will they be saved on my iOS device and subsequently on iCloud? If I use an Android device and take pictures, which will be Auto Backed Up to Google Photos, will they be copied across to my IOS Photos app on my IOS device and then subsequently uploaded to iCloud?
How do you guys make these systems work together?
bummer indeed, one of the reasons i tried G photos

Love Google Photos =) Thought it was just a backup service when it first came out... surprised that it wasn't. Best feature for me is getting gif versions of my dog's videos/pictures.
