Hello FF users! I have been shooting full frame since 2008. I started this hobby back in 2007 with a D40 sold that to get D90 then got myself a D700 a year later. I sold both bodies to fund for D600 and D800E and wasn't really happy with the filesize (I shoot raw and 70MB + for a photo is too much, I had to invest more to get disk space) so I sold off those 2 and got myself a D4. My current combo is D4 + Nikkor 85mm 1.4G (I love shooting portraits too much)
Welcome to the exclusive full frame club Enterbay. The D4 is a spectacular camera too bad I'm a Canon shooter. Palarong Panlalawigan ng Rizal Swimming Meet 2014 Girls Butterfly Under 12 1DX with 70-200mm 2.8 IS II
This could qualify for a sports illustrated cover! Good job man! I've been waiting for the day when the missus finally agree with me that a FF Canon is what I need in my life.
Many thanks Sandybridge guy! Canon's 70-200mm 2.8 is a magical lens for sports. I had it for two years already and it still continues to surprise me with the shots it captures. I only wish it was not so big and heavy. I would kill for a FF sports camera the size of my Fuji XT-1 though. Some gear porn. Comparing the flagship cameras of Canon and Fujifilm. Huge difference in size:

Maraming salamat po Daniel Sensei. The 1DX was a lucky find as I bought it second hand in relatively good condition from a pro who decided that he preferred his Nikon cameras better. Its huge but so fun to shoot most especially for sports events. After shooting a few sports events with the 1DX, I realised that despite of all its advantages, it still very hard to shoot action, haha. My keeper rate increased a little though. Before for every burst of 20 shots I would get only 1 or 2 that are good, now I'm getting at least 4. Haha.
Pareho lang pala tayo sir, ang D4 naman nabili ko from a photographer who was changing to Canon. It's his backup body so the condition was great and got it for the price of a D600
Shot a Floral Dance Performance at the Nayon Filipino with my 1DX. Just like Fujifilm, Canon has some very pleasing colors right out of the box. These are shot RAW but didn't modify them. Also the 1DX tracking is terrifyingly good, noticeably better than my 5D mark III AF. I just point at a dancer and it LOCKS ON HER FACE and stays on her until she disappears from the frame. Pretty awesome. Also its worth noting that the 1DX seems to render its image a bit differently from the 5D mark III. Can't really put my finger on it though but its somehow very pleasing. 1dx ISO 100 1/3200 85mm 1.8 @ F2
Hmm....been a while since I posted. Here's a shot I took on my last trip to the Pacific Northwest. You can view it larger here: https://500px.com/photo/86941815/sol-duc-falls-by-michael-lim
@Psynic, Are you shooting all Sony now Mike? No more dslrs? That photo is WOW!! @Ryan, 1Dx is probably the only camera that will make me shift back to Canon (and only if someone gives it to me for free though coz I can't afford it) hahaha Galing ng mga shots! D810, 24-70mm
Great shots, Daniel. Quick Q, do you still have your DF? I am planning to get one. Is it good? I'll mainly use it for traveling to shoot landscapes and architecture/cityscapes. I am really torn between D810 and that Df. TIA and happy holidays! JC
Many many thanks for the praise Daniel sensei. My 1DX is huge, heavy, and not always practical but it is now my favourite camera.
