Anybody knows where I can get an abs cbn digital box? Its not as big as sky cable. And it has 12volts and 220vlts. If used you can capture abscbn in digital form and it will be much clearer.

Do they have a Black Box clone in Raon? Last time I was there (10 years ago), I met this guy who bought a satellite dish that can capture Dream Satellite TV signal. He told me he was bringing it to HK.
Lots of people ask ted where ey can get it sans joining the contest. Apparently the reason why it is not available commercially is that they are still waiting for ntc approval of the product (more than two years of waiting already), at least that was the reason as explained by tes failon. @dekra, i love dos por dos too. Sorry if I'm posting this here, It's not ABS CBN's digital box, BUT if seller is correct, it will capture Digital TV Signals. Saw this item at Funan Yesterday... (Pinoy) Staff told me that it uses digital signals, therefore it doesn't matter if I use it here (PAL) or there (NTSC) PCTV AndroiDTV My problem is that I cannot find any information about it online... Anyone here who has tried using one? Or maybe someone who has used Belkin's Dyle Mobile TV Seller also told me that the PCTV AndroiDTV has an adapter included so that I can watch Digital TV on a Windows PC.
I have experience with Chinese ipTV. My friend sells ipTV boxes with 140+ Taiwan, China, Macau TV Channels. It needs upwards of 2 mbps to work properly. He just emails a China company to activate the MAC address of the TV Box before he sells the unit with one year subscription. The same China company can also activate Korean and Indian TV boxes. PLDT announced as early as 2008 that they will go into IPTV even before the FTTx became a reality. I read an article that most clients for a Microsoft powered ipTV systems are TelCos. It would make sense for PLDT (or other ISP's) to go into IPTV streaming with local servers.I'll see if I can get my hands on this ABS CBN TV box.
Unfortunately the only way to get it is to win the contest! Since the Philippine Gov't has not approved a standard for the broadcast of digital TV, the box cannot be sold or distributed yet. The channels (Ch2 and Ch 4) are using test broadcast approvals until the standard is approved. Be wary about getting any digital TV receiver from outside the country. Most places in Asia and Europe use the DVB-T standard, while the test broadcast of Ch 2 is on the ISDB-T (Japanese) standard.
