I'm planning to order an iPhone 6sPlus for store-pickup in the US. Which model should I order? According to http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/, the most likely models that will be useable, especially the LTE frequencies, in the Philippines are the A1688 & A1687 or the Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon models. I'll be getting a non-contract phone. So, which is the best one to get? Or does it matter? Thanks in advanced!
Verizon? My cousin's IP6+ LTE didn't work over here when he was here 2 months ago, just showing 4G...But when I was there last month his phone was showing LTE signal. I also know before that Verizon's model here but upon seeing what happened, I'm having a second thought. Was looking and I think sprint model is the one that will work here (LTE). I'm also now confused.
Im confused as well. Now im having second thoughts.. Can someone confirm which models work best with globe? Thanks guys..
I've used both Verizon and AT&T unlocked phones on Globe here without any problems. T-Mobile (which I ordered this time) should work here as well.
Yes yes yes I've been on LTE since Day One, on a Platinum account so I get full speeds too without any throttling
my order's being shipped to california! just got the notice.... alas, i won't be there for another month
Whatever you do don't buy from Best Buy. The unactivated price is $50 more comapred to Apple's price and they refuse to do a price match since the Apple stores will not give the price over the phone. I would return my phone for a refund to buy from Apple but I no longer want to do business with Worst Buy!
penmanila, i'm ordering for someone in Manila from the US as well. Did you order online through Apple and choosing T-Mobile at full price? I'm assuming that means it comes unlocked, provided you switch out the SIM with a Philippine Carrier SIM before turning the phone on?
Buying from Apple at full price gets you an unlocked iPhone. I pre-ordered a 6s Plus for T-Mobile Sept 12. When I got it, I just removed the T-Mobile SIM card and replaced it with my AT&T SIM and it's all good. I've also done this before with an iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 6. Also, I sent an AT&T iPhone 5s to a relative in Manila when it was released (that was also bought full price from Apple) and all my relative had to do was get a Globe SIM card for it.
Hi! I ordered the fones on full price (t-mobile). When i received it, i took out the tmo sims and replaced it with vodafone sims and it works like a charm. After activating it etc, i removed my vodafone sim and put in my globe sim (roaming), it works too.
Hi! If nobody can physically bring the iPhone to the Philippines, which is the best courier to send it through (in terms of price & reliability). I can have it shipped straight to forwarder or I can send it to friends in NY/NJ/SFO and they can mail the package for me. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before but cannot find recent posts about this. Thanks!
