^Maybe because he is planning to write large files on it.
i also bought Paragon and it has been flawless for the past 5 years.
been using Paragon, no problems so far.
Speaking of eXFAT, Id suggest to stay away from that format. Reason is, I need to rebuild the directory of my 2tB exFat formatted HD every now and then especially whenever it is not properly ejected. And sometimes, the built-in Disk repair cannot fix it so i need to resort to using the Terminal to fix it.
Not sure if this is is still true/applicable, but I read somewhere before thay you should format your exFAT drive on a Windows Machine, instead of on a Mac, to avoid any issues.
Could be coz i formatted mine via Disk Utilities, and im experiencing this.
If you have a Seagate drive, you can download a free version of Paragon NTFS for Mac from their website. This is the one that I currently use. Needless to say that this version will not work on non-Seagate drives...
How do you activate paragon when you buy it, they just send the code via email? thanks in advance
any link where can i get a free version?
another, how much does it costs?- Tuxera and Paragon?
thanks in advance..
for everyone using Paragon:
is the single seat license tied to the machine (like, you can't install it on a different machine)? i currently have a MBP which i plan to upgrade to a rMB really soon. if i purchase a license now and install it on my MBP, will i be able to use it on a new rMB?
PS. i actually have the free one installed (because we have a bunch of seagate drives). i just need to manage stuff on my non-seagate drives.
i just learned now RO lang NTFS so resorting to thes two options too...
tuxera - install any macOS you own
paragon - one license, one device
If I'm not mistaken, it's tied to the hard drive where it's installed. When I upgraded my hdd to ssd, they asked me to do this to re install paragon to my new ssd:
You need to release your license.
Please log in to MyParagon portal: https://my.paragon-software.com/
Find your product in the list, then press "Release license". License status will be marked as "Not in use".
Then try activating your product again.
Hope his helps.
tuxera = 31USD at http://www.tuxera.com/products/tuxera-ntfs-for-mac/
paragon = 19.95USD at http://www.paragon-software.com

nice, good to know. kanila rin pala yun ntfs-3g. i'll try that one later.
btw, if you want to have a free legit copy of Paragon, you can just buy a seagate backup plus portable storage (with windows+mac on the box)
