What are the best solutions for being able to print wirelessly from iPads and other iOS devices - whether AirPrint printers or AirPrint routers, today and available in the Philippnes?

i use brother MFC-J625DW at the office and MFC-J425DW at home, Print & Scan for IOS. CISS can also be used, the only drawback is Print quality for photo prints.

My Brother colour laser is not AirPrint-native but I can print from my iPad using HandyPrint to provide the handshake. It's a paid app, small footprint but really effective. Never tried printing a photo with it, though.

@infiniteloop: Check out HP printers. They have AIO AirPrint printers less than 5K and their ink is relatively cheap. They have a back to school promo until August 31, 2014 (free Jansport backpack worth 1999Php which they will send to you via LBC). No apps needed to be able to use AirPrint. HTH

I was on the HP printers and the ink was very expensive in the long run - their low-cost ink was shown to be decreasing in actual amount over time.
I have switched to Epson with factory-installed external ink tanks and they are so cheap, I let the kids print as much as they want.
Also, I read that if you connect the printer to an Airport Express or Extreme, they you can AirPrint to them. I still have to try this out.

I have a 4-year old Canon MX340 that connects to my router for wireless printing.

How do I print from an iPad/iPadAir if it's not compatible with AirPrint?
