Good thing it's not a major update.
So I don't feel outdated with my firstGen Watch :)

What I wished that the AW have is being waterproof. And now here it comes with an even more great feature- a built in GPS.

Was hoping for a longer battery life. I might bite the bullet on version 2 still.

The built-in GPS is reason enough for me to get this. This will be my first Apple Watch. And I'll grab the Nike+ edition.

Picture a triathlon with you in it and using the AW2...you swam 10 kms, then walk up the surf towards your bike and pedal away for another 20 kms, and then finally, you put on your running shoes and fire away the last 15 kms...and as you reach the finish line like the rest of your fellow competitors, you look up to your AW2 to see how you've progressed and see that it says...Power Reserve ON/OFF...

    %#$@*&^%$@!

I'd imagine the scenario where you're done with your 10km swim, walk towards your bike, then realize your apple watch is somewhere in the sea.

I wonder if the GPS functionality can be integrated with a GOLF rangefinder or the like in the future

If you run as fast as Bolt, maybe it can. But for the rest of us, likely not.

Exactly why I stopped using the Apple Watch for tracking fitness activities. I was using it for hikes before and by 4 miles my AWs battery's significantly depleted. Rowing for 20 minutes? Yes. Climbing a 14,000 foot peak ..NO.
